At the heart of Chordel is a flexible and dynamic song editor. You can build your songs piece by piece, focusing on the elements that matter to you.

• Block-Based Structure: Forget rigid timelines! We use a block-based system, allowing you to organize your song into logical sections (verses, choruses, bridges, intros, outros, etc.). Each block can contain lyrics, chords, and other musical information. This makes rearranging and experimenting with your song structure incredibly easy. • Real-Time Collaboration: Write music together, no matter where you are. See the cursors of your collaborators move in real-time, allowing for seamless parallel editing. This fosters a dynamic and productive songwriting process. Perfect for remote bands or co-writing sessions.
• Versioning & History: Never lose an idea! Our robust versioning system automatically saves every change you make. Easily revert to previous versions of your song, compare different iterations, and explore alternative arrangements. Dive deeper into Versioning and how to restore past versions here.
• Song Titling: Give your masterpiece a name! Easily modify the song title to reflect its mood, theme, or working title.
• Temporary Transposition: Need to quickly try a song in a different key? Use our temporary transposition feature to shift the entire song up or down without permanently altering the original key. This is great for vocal range testing or exploring different harmonic possibilities.
• Visual Organization with Emoji & Headers: Make your song library visually appealing and easy to navigate. Add emoji and custom headers to your songs for quick identification and categorization. Think of it as visual tagging – quickly spot the "Sad Ballad" or the "Upbeat Pop Anthem"!

Song Management & Settings

Beyond the core editing experience, you have full control over how your songs are organized and accessed.

• Move to Different Spaces: Organize your songs into dedicated "Spaces" – think of them as folders or projects. Easily move songs between Spaces to keep your workflow tidy and focused. This is ideal for separating projects, clients, or different genres.
• Delete Songs: Remove songs you no longer need. Please note: Deletion is permanent, so be sure before you confirm!
• Export Your Work: Share your songs with others or use them in different applications. Currently, we support exporting to:
