This guide will get you up and running with Chordel, the collaborative songwriting platform designed to help you bring your musical ideas to life. Whether you're a solo artist or part of a band, Chordel streamlines the songwriting process, making it easier to create, share, and refine your music.

Getting Started: Creating Your Account

Let's jump right in! Creating an account is quick and easy:

1. Head over to app.chordel.com
2. You have a couple of options for signing up:

• Email Login: Enter your email address for a traditional login.
• Third-Party Providers: Connect with your existing Notion or Google account for seamless access.

3. Email Verification (if applicable): If you choose to sign up with email, we'll send a one-time secure token to your inbox. This helps keep your account safe!
4. Enter Your Token: Copy the token from your email and paste it into the designated field on Chordel. You'll then be whisked away to the Chordel welcome screen!

First Steps: Personalizing Your Experience

Welcome aboard! The first thing you'll see is our welcome screen. Here, you can personalize your experience by adding your Display Name. This is the name other collaborators will see when you work together. Don't worry, you can always change this later in your profile.

Now you have a choice:

• Create a Space: Start building your songwriting haven right away! A "space" is where you'll organize all your songs and collaborate with others. You can learn more about spaces here.
• Wait for an Invitation: If you're joining a band or project, a member of that space needs to invite you. Just let them know you're ready to go!

Understanding the Chordel Interface

Once you've joined (or created) your first space, you'll be greeted by the main Chordel interface. Let's break down the key areas:

• Left Sidebar: Your central hub for navigation! Here you'll find quick access to:
  • Songs: Manage all your songwriting projects.
  • Setlists: Organize songs for performances or practice.
  • Settings: Customize Chordel to fit your workflow.
• Main Content Area: This is where the magic happens! You'll spend most of your time here, editing songs, configuring settings, and managing setlists.
• Top Bar: Provides essential navigation and access to song-specific settings. You can quickly jump between spaces and access help resources from here.

Think of it like this: The Sidebar is your roadmap, the Main Content Area is your workshop, and the Top Bar is your control panel.
